Checking coupon conditions with cssbuy spreadsheet

An offer is only worth something if it applies to your order. This guide gives you a fixed order of checks to run on any coupon or promotion you find, so you spend your time on conditions rather than on codes. We do not publish codes, invent discounts or promise savings.

Why conditions matter more than codes

A code can be perfectly real and still do nothing for your order. It might have expired, need a higher spend, apply only to some categories or exclude your region. Checking the terms first saves you from building a plan around a discount that never arrives.

The six checks, in order

#CheckQuestion
1ValidityIs it still within the dates shown?
2Minimum spendDoes my basket reach the threshold?
3Eligible categoriesDoes it apply to the categories I am buying from?
4RegionIs an Australian address included?
5StackingCan it combine with other offers, or does it replace them?
6Checkout resultDoes the total actually change at checkout?

How to run the checks

  1. Copy the offer wording exactly into your sheet, with the date you saw it.
  2. Highlight any phrase that sounds like a limit: "selected items", "new customers", "excludes".
  3. Match each limit against your basket one by one.
  4. Only then try the offer at checkout and read the resulting total.

If the total does not change, assume the conditions were not met, rather than assuming a fault. Go back and read the wording once more.

Keep savings out of the main plan

When you plan costs, treat any saving as a bonus rather than a given. Build your AUD budget without it, then see whether the offer helps. That way a failed condition costs you nothing but a note.

No codes, no promises

This site does not list codes and cannot say whether one will work for you. Offers change, and a stale code wastes time. What lasts is the routine above, which works whatever the offer is.

Verify on the live page. Only the checkout can confirm whether an offer applies to your basket. Treat everything else as a lead to check.

  2. Check validity and minimum spend.
  3. Match categories and region.
  4. Check whether it stacks with anything else.
  5. Confirm the total changes at checkout.
